Service
Private buyer in Tokyo
For people who buy from Japan every month: one person in Tokyo who knows what you collect, watches for it, and buys it for you, including on auction sites and marketplace apps.
Who it is for
- Collectors who buy from Japan every month and want someone watching for the pieces they need.
- Shops and resellers who need stock bought in Japan regularly. Buying to resell is included here; it is not part of one-off personal shopping.
- Concierge and lifestyle companies with clients who ask for things from Japan. See working with partners.
What the retainer covers
- Auction sites and marketplace apps. Yahoo! Auctions, Mercari and similar sites, which I do not use for one-off personal shopping.
- Shops, in person and online. New and second-hand, including shops that do not ship abroad.
- Watching for items. Releases, restocks and listings that match what you are looking for.
- Dealing in Japanese with sellers and shops, before and after the purchase.
- Holding and combining what I buy, so it ships together.
What it costs

Goods are paid at the seller’s price, and shipping is quoted separately. Payment by PayPal, Wise or Payoneer, in Japanese yen.
How to start
Write to me with what you buy, how often, and where it ships to. I reply within one business day. If I have no place free, I tell you when one opens.
